Somebody already answered you saying the same thing. What they sometimes
forget is to say that if you use "Find and Replace", then in "Replace"
you have to mark the Option "Regular expressions". There you can also
find a list of the regular expressions that you can use.

i a using your software and i have a question: i would like to replace
automaticly a ; by a tab and i can not do it. Can you help me?
Best regards
Find and Replace.
Search For:
;
Replace with
\t
HTH
HTH
I must be doing something wrong.
I have had occassion to try and replace a keystroke with a 'space'
(not a tab I know) and I have been unable to do it.
Sometimes when importing text into calc or base I have been given a
large number of entries with an asterisk in front of a number which I
need to be rid of.
I tried you little trick given above... all that happened was that the
* was replaced by a \t. I was hoping for a space.
Thanks
Kevin
