If you don't, ¢ is Alt + 189 on my keyboard, possibly also for others. I made a table of those Alt + xxx codes many years ago before I knew of OpenOffice.org (I made it with Excel 97 or possibly Excel 2000). That table also includes the symbols for other fonts, such as Symbol, Wing Dings etc. I also made a table of the Alt+0xxx codes. This was a couple of years later and I made it with OpenOffice.org 1.0 I think. Alt +162 is different. Note too that the numbers must
be entered from the numeric keypad with Numlock on. For a complete list go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Character Map. This will bring up a table of characters. Click on one and look bottom *right*. If there is one, the Alt key combination will be shown. Or you can drag the selected character into OpenOffice Writer/Calc/... Please note that the Character Map program is a standard Windows facility and has nothing to do with OpenOffice as such. -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
