This is what I call excessive.  I would would not find the message offensive
but there is a way to keep the block from being retransmitted.  I do so.

Looks like it is time for an educational sesssion.  If you don't need it or

Seems like there was a time in the world when the internet did not exist
that was because it did not.  In that day folks used things called Electronic
Bulletin Board systems.  One of them was called Spitfire.  These EBBS (shortened
to be BBS) were connected by a network called FidoNet. They existed around the 
world and in some cases in countries that had technically banned them. Messages
included items called 'Signatures'.  They were limited to a maximum of four 
lines
and were denotated by the inclusion of two dashes (-) followed by a space.  
Most, 
but not all, mailer systems stripped anything below these characters from any
replies.  This is STILL TRUE today.  I highly recommend the usage of these 
characters to separate the content of your reply from any other information you
wish convey.
