I place an E in cell I7 (no quotes around the E) and values in F7
(31), G7 (121), and L6 (27). In A1, I entered this formula:
=IF(I7="E";L6+F7-G7;L6+F7). I got two different answers depending
upon whether cell I7 contained a capital e or not. (-63 if I7=E, and
58 for no value or any other value in I7.)
Where did you place the formula you mentioned? Did you enter
a "E" with the quotes in I7?
