is there a way to import or read PDF files with OOo. I used to be able
to put PDF into M$Word (Insert - Object - PDF Document) as pages and
then print again to PDF with the PDF Writer Print Driver.

Try Insert>Object>Plugin then click Browse. Ensure the file type is set
to "Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf)" and then browse to the pdf file. You can
resize it and its scroll bars seem to work just as if it was still in
Acrobat.
