And if you alter your X11 settings for input by removing the last checkmark
under Perferences/Input, you can use EITHER the Apple or Control key to 
perform these functions.  The other code is already built into OpenOffice.org
for the Mac to accept the meta input.  I use it in QA testing and have since
I found this trick about 2.0 time.  This does not work for 1.1.x.
