I'm trying to reference the numbers assigned to each new paragraphs automatically by the "Format > Bullets and Numbering... > Outline" dialogue. So, for instance, with this text: 1.2 Can Mrs Marie Armas refuse to testify at her husband’s trial on the grounds that she is incompetent or non-compellable? 1.3 Should the spousal incompetence and non-compellability rule be part of New Zealand’s common law? I want to access the automatically generated variables "1.2" and "1.3".
