Hi
It sounds like you haven't actually installed the program.
Do you have a folder along the lines of OpenOffice Installation files
on your desktop?
Try opening the folder and running setup.exe
If you have installed the program then it should be listed in Start -
> All Programs -> OpenOffice
Is that how you tried to launch the program?

Hi, I also have Window XP64. I cannot get OpenOffice to load right.
I keep getting a message that it cannot find the file
"uwinapi.dll". I have
tried again and again to get it to work. It must be loading in the
wrong
place. Where should that file be?

Hi
I passed along the latest version to a friend with a
slow isp connection by cd. He tells me the product
will not install giving the message Wrong OS.
He has a new DELL Desktop with XP Pro64.
Any help is appreciated.

There are several different versions depending on the Operating
System -
Linux, Solaris, Windows, different versions of Mac etc. etc. Are you
*sure*
you gave your friend the right version? The wrong version simply
won't
install.
