subscribing to this mailing list directly?
(Serious question -- stuff like gmane may be good for archiving and lookups but
for ongoing reading and keeping-up, why not just subscribe to the actual mailing
list?
That was my choice, started mostly because I didn't want to download all
the mail. I think it might have started in the days of the bad virus
episode before attachments were stripped. In any case I don't find using
gmane at all difficult, and I don't have to unsubscribe when I go on
holidays.
I notice Trevor mentions using the newsgroup, hence my response.
