I think it's probably time to start admitting that there are serious
performance problems in opening excel spreadsheets:

Excel - few seconds to open
Calc - 16 to 25 _minutes_
* The file is an Indian Tax Return
While I'm the first person to admit I'd like OpenOffice.org to continue
addressing speed issues, I think things are improving.
I just downloaded the file in question, and it opened in 1 minute 16
seconds.
That's a _long_ way from the times stated.
