[users] excel conversion

I have a large(1.4MB) excel spreadsheet which is locked unfortunately.  
I would love to get into Open Office. it sort of loads but not 
completely. it seems that there are macros using basic which are not 
converted. Is this normal. if i sent the spreadsheet could someone 
convert it please.
OOis fantastic. I have managed to get all my other sppreadsheets 
converted easily.
