Hi,
We are constructing a database in MS Access of the entries in 'Returns' made under the 1799 Seditious Oaths Act. It will, we hope be a useful resource for Social and Masonic historians as well as the general Genealogist. The information is available free on a web site although we are only maybe 5% through the project.

This project ('Essex Oaths') is entirely non-commercial.

We do eventually have the idea of having the database on CD and letting people have a copy for nothing more than the cost of a disc and postage.

Unfortunately, that means they will need database software capable of reading an MS Access database.

I have downloaded OpenOffice but that doesn't read in the MS Access database.

Either I've done something very wrong or I have the wrong idea about the OpenOffice software.

Your advice would be much appreciated.
Regards
alec
