Pravin, on my Ubuntu 7.04 setup, I have installed all the fonts relevant to my needs from the synaptic package manager, in addition to some provided by Automatix 2. But when I check /usr/share/fonts/, I don't find an «openoffice» folder there - instead I see three folders, viz, «truetype», «type1», and «X11». Under the first-named, however, I do find an «openoffice» folder among a total of 36 others, which contain the truetype fonts I've installed. When I open the «openoffice folder», the only thing I see there is «open_.ttf» from Sun. Despite this, all the fonts I've installed seem to be available under OpenOffice (I'm presently using the 2.2version which comes bundled with Feisty, next week I'll be using 2.3 when I upgrade to Gutsy). The one font I am missing is faithful old «PMingLiu», which doesn't seem to be available in any of the packages I've installed. If you could explain how to get hold of and install this font on an Ubuntu machine, I'd be very grateful, indeed !... Henri
