I have Ubuntu Studio 7.10 and OpenOffice 2.3 (the one that came with Ubuntu)
and I just tried the spell checking with the words being and bieng, Bieng
was underlined and being was not, just as it should be. Maybe you are doing
something wrong? The text language was set to English (US).
