I have just installed Office Suite 2007 and searched for updates. It

that referring to software I just installed or the update I am trying to
get?
Thanks for your help.

This is the volunteer support group for OpenOffice.org's *free* product
OpenOffice. The latest version is 2.3. There is no such thing as a "2007"
version.
"Office Suite 2007" sounds like a Microsoft product, in which case please
complain to Microsoft.
On the other hand, the problem you explain seems to be yet another instance
the well known "Microsoft Installer" problem which has nothing to do with
OpenOffice but which this group sees frequently. A possible solution is at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
If you are actually trying to install OpenOffice and if the above solution
does not help, come back here with details of:
which version of Windows you are using and which version of OpenOffice you
are trying to install.
There are no "updates" to OpenOffice; for technical reasons each "update" is
issued as a complete new version which must be downloaded in its entirety.
You can get the latest at www.openoffice.org - press the big green "Get
OpenOffice" button and then the choose the correct version for your
operating system.

Here is the eBay link for "Office Suite 2007" and other assorted
software. It even looks like you can pay for Microsoft's viewers.
Buyer Beware!
