Save your documents in Microsoft doc (or xls, or whatever) format and Microsoft
Office users will be able to open them.

You could also direct your users to http://www.openoffice.org and have them
download and install their very own copy of OpenOffice, absolutely free of
charge.  Note that the default OpenOffice file format is an international
standard called ODF.  Microsoft's file formats are closed and proprietary and
not a standard of any kind.
