Unfortunately, the .pub file format is proprietary and undocumented and
sufficiently complex (unnecessarily so, IMO) to make it nearly impossible to
read in anything but M$Pub. Sorry for the bad news. Perhaps your client could
export the content so that you only have to do the formatting? I haven't used
Pub so I don't know if that is an option.
