This is OT, but if any OOo 2.3 for X11 users on Leopard can tell me
how the heck to turn off the default launching of xterm when X11 is
started, I would be grateful.
I haven't independently verified this, but look here: http://
forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=80171 . Try item #35, which
contains a line to be typed into the Terminal.

Hello,
I'm a bit lazy for the moment, so I just click on the red button of
the
xterm window... but I know there's this xinitrc command somewhere...
Guy, the lazy man's way seems to be the only way.
I rewrite my org.x.X11_launcher.plist with the give command. X11
starts fine, without xterm. But OOo won't start now. It is as though
that little xterm thing paves the way.... i delete the offend
org.x.X11_launcher.plist file, and xterm returns, but all seems well
again.
.xinitrc files seem no longer relevant to this most recent version of
X11.
Cheers
Les
