If I understand what you want to do, you could just go back to each item
as it's completed and change the bullet style. Start at "Format" on the
menu bar, click "Bullets and Numbering" and select a different bullet
style. It seems like it could be a little tedious, though.

I feel a bit poorly that your response is tagged with "Troll/Idiot" since
you've been kind enough to respond however since that is the label it
arrived with...

You gruff; me big billy goat; me kill troll. (http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/type0122e.html#gruff - childhood memories; no offence intended)

This seems to work but it's very tedious without a macro:
0. Ensure the Bullets and Numbering toolbar is visible, or that you have the Bullets On/Off button available on a toolbar somewhere
1. Select the *entire text* of the bulleted point (task)
2. Click the Bullets On/Off button. This will turn the bullet *off* for the selected task; it also seems to make the toolbar disappear :-( 3. While the text is still selected, do Format>Bullets and Numbering and choose the bullet style you want. The selected task, and only that one, will have the new bullet style.

With a bit of luck someone like Mr. Pitonyak will tell us about a macro for this. Please!
