I followed your link, but on the page I saw Mint was top with 9 and PCLinuxOS
was nearly as good as Ubuntu and just lost out on the fact that the reviewer
imagines that Gnome will be easier for a newbie than KDE. I would take issue
with that. In my experience, it depends upon whether the newbie is migrating
form Apple (Gnome is "better") or Windows (KDE is "better"). For a total
newbie it doesn't much matter. No total newbie to computers would be likely
to be installing his/her own OS and so the choice would be up to whoever was
doing the installation.

Gosh, you are right that Mint scored .25 higher! I didn't look closely
enough... It is an Ubuntu based distro however.
