I've recently switched to Ubuntu (from Mandrake or Mandriva as it now
is called). My main reason was for ease of maintenance. I got fed up
of trying to install packages which wouldn't install because some
other package was not up-to-date. I installed Ubuntu (7.04) just before
they announced 7.10, as a result of which I got the old version of OOo.
No real problem, though. I deleted OOo and installed 2.3 from OOo.org.
At some point I'll switch to 7.10, though I'm waiting a while to let
the dust settle. The upgrade process looks nice - if it's as smooth
as the bugfix updates to 7.04 I'll be more than pleased.
