Hi Joe,

First, I haven't seen your previous emails on the subject, so I might be
telling you stuff you already know. Apologies if that happens. However, I use
master documents a lot for large-scale projects, so I know some of the curly
problems that occur :-)

Best way to start a new page for a TOC is to modify the Contents Heading
paragraph style (used by default for the 'Table of Contents' heading for TOCs)
to Page Break Before.

To find the paragraph style, open the Styles and Formatting window (f11), from
the drop-down list at the bottom select 'All Styles'. Then scroll through the
styles list till you find it.

To add a page break, right-click on the Contents Heading paragraph style and
select Modify. In the window that appears, click on the Text Flow tab. Tick the
Insert checkbox. Make sure you've selected Before from the Position drop down
list. Warning: for a master document, don't bother selecting a page style in
this screen. It won't work anyhow.

Howzat?

- Naomi

Subject: [users] Master doc

Hi,
Am still battling with master docs. I have created a title page of sorts
and now have to start a new page for TOC but won't let me. Cursor stops
after the last line of the title page. What must I do to continue?
