    Hi Anand,
The current version of OOo doesn't run Excel VB macros. Novell has a

that will run some macros, depending on the functions that have been
    used. The
macros in the file you've posted are password protected in Excel, so
    I can't
have a look at them to see how complex they are. You can try
    downloading and
installing the Novell version and see if it works.

Anthony,

What makes you think they are password protected? My OO 2.2 on Win XP Pro *seems* to open the .xls file and I can edit the macros via Tools>Macros>Organise. I'm *not* asked for any passwords.

Is OO hiding stuff from me that I'd see if it wasn't password protected or what?

Anand,

Anthony's point about VB is, of course, correct. If the Novell version can't handle your macros you'll either have to doctor your VB till it can, or rewrite them in OpenOffice Basic (or one of the other languages OO supports which, I think, include Python and JavaScript)

Hi Harold,
In Excel, the macros are password protected in the VB editor. My intention was to run them in excel's vb editor to see what they were supposed to do.
