I am not sure I understand this statement, but please see below (also

Challenge-response systems are such a dumb idea that I deliberately
ignore them. Anybody writing to a mailing list from a C-R protected
address deserves to be ignored. Of course the mailbot would do the
same.
This said, we are going OT and risk bothering everybody else with
technical details. The part that needed to be discussed here was the
willingness to adopt it (ie not to vanify it by keeping sending "CC to
unsubscribed poster" dumb duplicates). From this point of view, things
seem better now than in the past.
As I said earlier, I cannot implement and run this myself now. If
somebody is really interested in offering such a service through his
or her computer, please let's continue the discussion off list, where
we can work out the technical details. If nothing else, I'm certainly
willing to be a tester / guinea pig for this experiment, that is to be
the one who gets the autoresponder notifications (instead of the
unsubscribed posters) until we're sure it works as intended.
