To Dan Lewis: LOL!!!

What is the big problem? Why all the fuss? Personally, I have been

have read points to the writers of these emails stating their personal

that they are taking up bandwidth for other people to download. It is a shame
that someone who still uses dial-up has to download all of these emails which
does not help him understand how OOo works. What good is this rant for either
position? No one is going to change his or her mind! So, please, everyone get
back down off your soap box. Sort your emails the way you want to do it.
Leave the rest of us alone.
And to annoy both groups, I have top and bottom posted this information.

But it is not policy on this list, and I hope that it never is. I too have
a rule, Fred -- if it's bottom-posted, and I can't see the new post when I
open the message in full screen, the message gets deleted without being
read. Only exception is threads in which I have a particular interest. I
don't have time to waste scrolling down through all the old stuff that I've
read in previous messages. Simple really.

Thanks for your help. Another poster just claimed there was no "top
posting is alway wrong" crowd. I said there was.
It's interesting how people have the same reason for doing different
things.
I find it's a waste of time to scroll down to find the most recent post
on most threads and you find just the opposite.
I don't to limit my responses to only those posts that accommodate my
own preference, but as everyone here is a volunteer, you're entitled to
act according to your own policy.
On some lists I'm on, it IS policy. If you don't bottom post, you'll be
warned once and after that you won't post. In fact, there's a number of
lists I know of like that......one of them has well over 600 members.
