You don't get to define what other people find convenient. You may try
to convince them your preference is better, but if you fail, there's
nothing you can do about it. Give up! Learn to get along with people
who disagree with you.
My own policy is to generally follow the most prevalent practice on the
list, except where it's obviously clearer to do something else. I'll
also sometimes make an exception for people who try to impose their own
notions of order on everyone else. :)
