Is it possible you could send the table as a MS Excel file?
No, after I saved the Writer file in ODF format, I deleted the Calc
file. The table is still in the saved Writer.odt file.
You should be able to open a new spreadsheet in OOo Calc and copy the
table from your OOo Writer document and paste it into the spreadsheet.
Then you should be able to save the OOo Calc spreadsheet in MS Excel
format.
If your intended recipient can use MS Excel format spreadsheets, that
might be a temporary solution.
In the MS Word document, is there any possibility that the table is
there but not visible - any mark, placeholder or symbol on the page at all?
That is a possibility. There is the appropriate space for the table
between the preceding and succeeding text paragraphs.
I haven't had and can't reproduce your problem yet, but there might be a
*slight* chance that it is a display problem of the sort I've sometimes
found with graphics. Graphics in a document produced in OOo Writer are
sometimes not be visible in MS Word. The solution there sometimes is
slowing down or eliminating hardware acceleration for your display.
Thank you for you assistance.
