It sounds like the problem resides in your having to use a M$ format
to send the file to someone who isn't a OO user. Since pdf is a
universally accepted format and the problem doesn't present itself
when saving to it, why not stick with it whenever you need to share
a file? or does the person you're sending the file to have to edit
it?
I'm beginning to think you are right, and that using PDF is the best
solution. I was just curious as to what was happening, and if it was
something inherent in OOo. It seems the problem is not always repeatable.
Maybe it is something unique to my system.
