In Office 2007, "save as PDF or XPS" is an exact quote from the drop-down menu
under the "Office" button. I am only observing it, I have not yet had occasion
to use it and thus test it. This is not any third party, or even Microsoft
add-on, it is on the basic installation.

I have never seen PDF as an option in Word and supporting it was part of
my job, when I was at IBM a couple of years ago. Also, IIRC, Adobe
refused MS permission to add it in, though I don't recall the details
why not. What version of Word do you have? Did you have to add a
plug-in for it?
