Hi, I downloaded Open Office onto my laptop because the Microsoft Office installed is a trial version. I'm running into a compatability problem. I work on my laptop doing notes and papers for school and save them to a flashdrive. I then insert my flashdrive into my desktop computer to print things out. Microsoft Word installed on my desktop will not open my files. It does not recognize the format. I had to install Open Office on my desktop so that I could print my papers. When I researched this program, it said that it would be compatible with any other program. Is this not so? I can't share files with classmates, because they might not be able to open them. Am I doing something wrong or is it not compatible?
