I'm not all that knowledgeable concerning Linux.... I thought that
a firewall was part of it. But too, I thought the firewall was
separate from Virus control, Parental Control, Spam/eMail protection
etc. would be completely separate from a firewall. I run all right
now on Windows XP with Norton Internet Security.
I guess I'm wondering if I'd be protected for these things with Linux,
or if there's additional programs I need to get them done.
Viruses are simply not an issue. As for Spam/email, just about any
email app, even on Windows is better than Outlook. Seamonkey and
Thunderbird have built in spam filtering, on both Linux and Windows. I
have no idea about parental control as I have no need for it here.
