I am using a laptop (Compaq), and recently my hard drive needed to be replaced.
 I had loaded
"Microsoft Office" into the old hard drive, but was told that I could use

I tried uninstalling the Openoffice, and re-installing it; but was still not

Can you help, or do I have to purchase another Microsoft Office disc??

If you really want MS Office, can't you just re-install from the disks that you did the original install from? (As you say you had loaded MS Office onto your old hard drive.)

Not that I'm advocating MS Office; just that if you want it, I don't understand why you would need to purchase another disk.
