I fully agree with ccornell. Making people to feel dumb is WRONG.....
both here and in real life.
One thought... why does so many people surf in to "the wrong" site that
cost them money...
and how is those people able to find this mail-forum _*after *_they
bought an CD/download for 29:95 or something like that.
I tried to Google OpenOffice and I get hits that directed me to
www.openoffice.org.
I think that most of the people that are going to www.openoffice.com
ets., and at least at this site (www.openoffice.com) they had "Free 24/7
technical support" as one of the special features.
So why don´t they try to get support there?
I´m sure that the "dot-com adress" is something people think is the
"right" site and they surf in and buy an download....
1. These people _*can´t know*_ that the right site has an dot-org
extension. Here it is important that OO.o community is more
visible in media, ads, etc, so people will recognice OpenOffice
and they will come to the right site.
2. These people _*can´t know*_ that OpenOffice don´t cost anything,
´cause they surfed in to the wrong place and bought an download,
paying for it.
More ads in media??? Is that a solution ??? Not sure, but if the
community isn´t visible, people don´t find the site..
