About a couple of months ago? I had several emails about it. (Directly as a result of my registration on the OOo site rather than on this list - but registration is freely available to anyone.) I didn't vote for China. I was outvoted - and I can see why. The Beijing proposal did indeed look most attractive. But... But that is democracy for you. I didn't vote for George W. Bush or Gordon Brown either - but I am lumbered with them, for good or ill. And, anyhow until we can have Plato's benevolent dictator, democracy has my vote, even if I personally dislike some of the answers she comes up with. So Beijing it is. And it will be a wonderful conference and the delegates will all have a marvellous time. I am genuinely convinced of that. And not one of us is compelled to go. By the by, I am a Small Ender when it comes to eggs. Anyone for a fight?
