Actually, I don't think it was announced on this list by the
way...However....
This list is but one appendage of the OpenOffice.org community.. the
call for the Vote was
- announced on the the announcement list
- announced on the front page of the web site
- announced on every web forum that deals with OOo that I know of [ 2
English, 1 French, 1 Hungarian, 1 German..Don't know first hand about
the other German, Polish, Norwegian or Japanese forums, pretty sure it
was on the Potuguese forum and mailing lists]
- on the GullFOSS blog ( I think )
- the Marketing blog(s) ( I know )
I voted for a site that was not in China ( hint I like Green, as in the
color of an Emerald ) by the way - we lost.
