I installed the new 2.4 version of openoffice and have been a firm believer and user and recommender of the product. I am considering changing my mind because when I try to simply get onto writer, I am unable. It opens TWO processes labeled soffice.bin, this makes for the program to sit there and idle in the background, continually trying to open. This is infuriating, I have papers to write for College and am unable to. I don't have time to sit and search the forums for help and wait to get responses, so I would say so far support is appalling unless this issue is dealt with.
