It's a free download from www.openoffice.org. 2) You're probably saving in the default ISO standard ODF format, which Microsoft refuses to support. This means you'll have to save in Word format. You can do this in Save as, by selecting the appropriate format from the drop down list. Also, ensure automatic file name extention is selected. You can also email directly in Word format, by clicking on File > Send > E-mail as Microsoft Word.
