Isn't making Columns an element of Page format a deficiency? How
would one then set up, say, a 2-column block at the top of the page
and then later a 3-column block?
Hang on here, you are missing the whole point and power of
OpenOffice.org in the first place?! The way you should be looking at
this if you need to mix the number of columns at a page level is by
creating separate page styles e.g. '2-column page' and '3-column
page'. These are obviously setup with the 2 and 3 columns and then
you simply add a page break and choose the style you want for the
next page. A simple solution to a simple problem :)
