Thank you! That is a nice complement to Michele's answer. If I had seen it earlier, I would have had a much better appreciation for OO's approach. I also liked your links to related topics, and the context of thinking about "export to ... HTML" or other media - which relates to my point that defining a page (a physical medium, with physical properties like margins and orientation) in terms of columns (a tool of presentation) is problematic. Thanks again for thinking this through.
