Thanks to everyone for their help with this issue. What CD format would you
recommend? I'm afraid I'm pretty Mac-illiterate.

I'm a PC user trying to help a technically indifferent colleague
install OpenOffice onto her Mac laptop. My first question is about version -
she says she has OS 10.4, but doesn't know whether it's OSX Intel or
OSX PC. How can I help her figure that out?
Once we've figured out which version of OO she needs, is there any way
I can download it to my PC, and burn it onto a CD for her?
I can't help with the first question, but you can certainly copy the
downloaded file to a CD or USB flash drive, as you would any other
file. Just make sure the CD format is one that the Mac can read.
I have no idea what formats Macs like. However, the easiest method, if
she won't download, is to use a USB flash drive.
