Her Mac shouldn't have a problem reading a PC formatted disk or USB Flash. drive.

Thanks to everyone for their help with this issue. What CD format would you recommend? I'm afraid I'm pretty Mac-illiterate.

I can't help with the first question, but you can certainly copy the
downloaded file to a CD or USB flash drive, as you would any other
file.  Just make sure the CD format is one that the Mac can read.
