Perhaps you are talking about borders on the cells? I am not sure, need more information, but borders always works for me. > Also, I can't seem to open with Microsoft Word or Excell...... I > thought Open Office was compatible? OpenOffice.org is firstly a seperate program in its own right. It is not trying to be a clone of Microsoft office otherwise it can never hope to be better or even equal. The default save format for OpenOffice.org is Open Document Format. Microsoft finally will directly support ODF in Service Pack 2 of Office 2007[1] after admitting ODF has won the battle of the document formats against there own OOXML format[2]. > I had my co-workers try also...They couldn't figure it out either. Nobody could see that the save format was not able to be opened by the lesser product ;) hmm. The answer is that Open Office also saves in Microsoft Offices .xls format if you wish (look to "File Type" in the Save As dialogue). Also ensure that you do not untick (uncheck if you are from America) the Option to automatically add file extesions. Windows requires file extesions to work, as it does not read mime types. > I was hoping Open Ofiice would be "User Friendly" :-( It is, it is just not 100% idiot proof ;) > I may have to just Un-Install your product, as it doesn't seem to meet > my needs. Be wary in your emails, it is very easy to write an email that looks "sarcastic" to people. This email help list is composed of fellow users of the product and as such you do not want to upset them before you get the advice they are capable of giving and take advantage of the power the program is capable of delivering.
