Yes. I use outlook and have a similar problem. I press 'Reply to all'
and then have to go to the extra trouble of deleting the authors address
in the To field, and adding my [EMAIL PROTECTED] address in
the From field.

I have often wondered whether we could have a metrication newsgroup. It
would not only be technically easer but it might be interesting to have
a more open forum. What do people think?

I have seen hit-and-run requests for information on newsgroups. There is
a response which is 'Ask here, see the reply here'.

Thanks. I appreciate that and will accept that you might sometimes
forget. I generally prefer to stay in the same medium: emails get email
replies, mailing list postings get mailing list replies. Going off-topic
is a reason to switch of course. Unfortunately, I reply to email before
the mailing list so I don't realise that a duplicate has occurred until
the email version has been sent.
