Why not use kilonewton, as it reduces the number to two digits.

        1 dekanewton = 1 kilogram-force (very nearly)
European engineers used to use the metre kilogram-force second system of units.  When they changed to SI they adopted the dekanewton as their unit of force because it left the numbers (almost) unchanged.
