I know of some Americans who migrated to Europe and who took their American washer and dryer with them because they were larger than the average ones in Europe and because they preferred the top loader style of washer versus the front loader (which is much more popular in Europe). I've been to Australia once, but I can remember whether the washers and dryers there were more similar in size to the US appliances or not. Does anybody have a clue as to whether it would be the size that would make Americans want to bring their appliances with them to Australia (most other items in Australia tended to be on par, size wise, with their US counterparts, rather than the more compact versions from Europe).
