But according to the protestors that's precisely the case - everyone asks
for their apples in pounds. To them one size *did* fit all, the pound.
What precisely is wrong with selling in kg only once people get to know it?
When it was just pounds I would have advocated showing kg too considering
that internatoinally it was a well known unit.
Arguably lb's are still the unit of measure predominantly used / spoken in
supermarkets today although there is this sort of "drive" to make it so that
people change the way they ask for things.
I just think that both "systems" should be used and let the consumer decide.
Use education if you want - and let the preference for whatever system flow
through.
To me it's not a case of enforcing the display of something - its fighting
the the illegalization of the display of something.
