I've never seen a vehicle in the US that has km/h as the primary display. I've seen plenty of them that have dual with km/h in very tiny unlit letters under the larger mph ones but no analog speedometers that display solely in km/h
I do agree that both should be displayed. Mike On 3/28/07, Michael Payne <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I've been Googling for the relevant Federal documentation on speedometer displays. I remember it can have MPH or km/h & MPH. It seems some manufacturers are now making the former only. Mercedes is an example where they used to have both now have only MPH on the display. I'm adamant that I will not buy a vehicle unless it has km/h as the primary display, so I'm trying to find the relevant rules to quote. I'm sure someone on this list has a web site somewhere that give the information. Michael Payne 1 Thorton Court Potomac Falls VA 20165 USA
