[USMA:38336] Federal requirements speedometers

I've been Googling for the relevant Federal documentation on speedometer 
displays. I remember it can have MPH or km/h & MPH. It seems some 
manufacturers are now making the former only. Mercedes is an example where 
they used to have both now have only MPH on the display. I'm adamant that I 
will not buy a vehicle unless it has km/h as the primary display, so I'm 
trying to find the relevant rules to quote. I'm sure someone on this list 
has a web site somewhere that give the information.
