The metric clock is impossible and it would indeed create mayhem with SI; let's 
get rid of AM/PM time instead, even that is a laborious uphill battle against a 
lot of resistance. The metric clock was attempted during the French Revolution 
but then abandoned as it was totally impractical. The same happened with the 
decimal Revolutionary Calendar.
