Yes, this article is not entirely in metric. As I said in my original posting:
Note the extensive use of metric units in the recipe.

"Extensive" does not mean "Entire". We can chide the authors and the editors for not being **entirely** metric or we can rejoice that for a change metric units appeared in a Mother Earth article.

I would hope that when we encounter someone in public who uses a metric unit that we don't chide them for not being **entirely** metric. That would be a quick way to discourage a potential convert.

The possibility occurs to me that this mail list is read by people who do not post but who do come here to learn more about the metric system of units.

Alas, the text is not completely metric all the way through. In the instructions just before the list of ingredients it says:

    Yeast is sensitive to temperature, so bread rising in a kitchen
    that’s 65 degrees Fahrenheit will take hours longer than it would in
    an 80-degree kitchen.


Obviously, those are Fahrenheit temperatures.
